“Prior to our church ceremony, Alex and I went to our reception space for photos,” says Blakeley.
“I knew that once the reception began around 7:30 p.m., there wouldn’t be much time to truly soak in the design that my planner, mother and I worked so hard on. Seeing the gardens fully decorated for the first time with daylight filtering through the trees and all the beautiful, loose florals was such a dreamy moment.
“The photos we took at this time were some of my favorites captured from our wedding day, along with the calm, awestruck alone time I got with my soon-to-be husband!
“As we were walking back toward our ride to the ceremony after finishing our portraits, a beautiful butterfly landed on my gown and stayed attached to it for a solid minute. It was a very special moment, as we felt the comforting presence of Alex’s brother whom we recently lost.”
